Curb Appeal
Start with the outside of your house, or your curb appeal. Look at the exterior of your home from a quick glance from the street. What jumps out at you? What positive features seem waiting to be noticed? Knowing this helps us to decide what plan of action we can use to entice buyers from the street and into your house. If your house isn't the best it can look on the outside with retouched paint and colorful greenery it's time to get those things done. Follow the Curb Appeal Checklist and boost your home's final selling price.

Welcome Home
Could a buyer picture themselves watching a movie in your living room, unwinding in your master bedroom or inviting family and friends over for a dinner in your dining room? We want your Open House to pleasantly accept buyers and offer them a sense of contentment. I'll help you do this by recommending small improvements that highlight the features of your place. I'll suggest that you put in storage anything that gives the impression of clutter. Counter tops should be free and clear. Brick-a-brack, sentimental items, family photos, and play time artwork should get stored away too. We need to give mass appeal to the home so buyers can imagine it as their new home.
Every room gets a once-over. Improvements that directly affect your bottom line include easy-to-fix items like pieces of furniture that should get rearranged, rooms that need new paint, carpet that needs steaming, fixtures that need polishing, and windows that need washing
Working together, we'll make sure your home has mass appeal and that it's inviting, avoiding "loud" or "personalized" colors on the walls and furniture. And if you've already moved out, you can consider renting furnishings. The goal is for your home to look inviting as opposed to deserted.

Setting the Stage I'll tell you when your home is ready to host an Open House, because all of the improvements mesh together to create a picture of what buyers will expect after they choose to buy your house. Lighting is critical and we'll draw back curtains, and reduce shadows where needed to show off your place. We'll enhance the mood of the house with enjoyable music to listen to while guests tour your home and ensure a delightful scent circulates from every area. We'll include cozy-looking blankets, and throw pillows on your chairs and bedding. We want buyers to feel like your current home is their future home. |
